I started using PIG SPIT on my plastics. Works really well...

My buddy loaned me a bottle of Harley black rubber/plastic restoration goop. That worked really well, but I can't remember what it was. If I put on my Sons of Anarchy costume and go to the dealership this weekend, I'll see if I can find it and snap a picture. Worked better than anything else I've found.

Hah. Unfortunately I've been rubbing elbows quite a few times with the H-D crowd because I'm an idiot and decided to try to revive a 1997 Sportster that hasn't run in 15 years. Not for me, but it's my dad's, and I want him to sell it to a friend of mine whose getting his license this year.

I've learned all about dry sump oil systems. And how Harley's "wet sump" if left alone not running for a while. And that's why the cough oil on startup after non-use for extended periods of time. And how excessive oil from wet sumping in the engine will eventually cause a crankshaft seal failure. And then the primary oil side gets flooded with all the engine oil. And then it's a whole big ordeal...

Waiting on this seal so I can hopefully get this thing out of here soon.

All that being said, their black plastic restoration stuff worked well.

Do you mean the engine oil when it sprays out of the failed seals?

The S100 engine brightener works very well too.

That's how you know it's still got oil in it, right? It's a feature, not a bug.
