1986 vf500 interceptor rear turn signal idea

i want to eliminate the giant turn signal stalks on this 86 vf500.

has anyone here removed them, and replaced the red reflectors on either side of the tail piece with flush mount turn signals?

what brand/style would fit?

 

You'll never find the OEM build quality in any aftermarket lights. Honda supplied the short stalks you're looking for as OEM for the front of your bike, so fit them at the rear.**


** May be some mixup here, as confusion reigns concerning whether the shorties are numbered properly front or rear.

 

Worked at a Honda Dealer for 12 years. There is no replacement for the OEM stalks. And, yes, the part numbers for the Turn Signal Stays were mixed up on the micro fiche. Front and rears were backwards... much confusion at first.

The front VF500F are the shortest version of that stay made. I grab up any I can find. The K&L versions are not solid and bounce all over the place.

i am trying to find a quality way to remove all of the stalks :/

 

Targa made "Turn Signal Tuckers" for Honda turn signals. Simple really, block of aluminum the right size, drilled and tapped in the right places...
