Hey Chuck, what do you mean by headers for the Bike? I need from the headers back. I picked up a used Yoshi and some prebent tubing to try and fabricate my owen but Im not a good welder :frown: . BTW, I ordered both lowers, the upper, front fender, inner panels, and stayes from Chuck and quality is good. Some parts need some finish filling and sanding but others like the inner panels are nice and ready to mount. I have not gotten the lowers yet but will check back in as I reconstruct my totaled 86 VFR 750. It is up and running well, just looks dumb all naked

    chuck,

how much do you charge for the inner panels (the ones adjacent to the upper), and do they come with the rubber stripping that the stock ones have?

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/member.php?u=7862

His rear cowl and lowers are from chuck... not sure about upper and front fender.

I've got 2 of his fiberglass lowers, great quality.

look on ebay for pics of his stuff, search finished auctions too

Wow, you guys have the contacts! I have not been able to find a fuel tank for my 84. What are my options for repair? This bike sat for years, i put a battery and fuel in it and it stumbled and ran with throttle! Tank is rusty inside, and fuel line is broken now. Carbs are probably in tough shape. what is the interest in this bike for a project for a true vf500 believer? i have other bikes that need a little less work...

    tank

I just bought a tank off ebay for a 84 vf500 with shipping $65.. got to keep looking my friend.

rust in tank. remove tank, drain, put some stones in it and shake the tar out of it. rinse and do it again. then get a quality tank coating. read directions and go for it.

I found a quality, durable epoxy coating: "epoxy gas tank sealer"

    www.caswellplating.com

Worked well and easy to use, far better than "Kreem"

I have started buying parts for my VFR. The Honda-direct link I posted on page 1 does not have some parts due to them being discontinued. The radiator hoses, mid fairing stays, and I think the upper cowl dzus fastners are not available from this source. Hope I can find this stuff somewhere.

Thanks, I checked the site out and their prices are the same or a little cheaper. I'll send in an order and see if they have the stuff I need. Dave.

The VFR700 and 750 parts should be interchangeable except some of the colors and stickers. Talk to vfr chuck he can make you a nice white ready to paint full body set for a good price.
