101 reasons why....There is no seventh gen VFR yet?

This is a fun thread. i figured in stead of surmissising what is coming,(witness countless threads on the 'All New' VFR) we could take the opposite tack and come up with reasons why it hasnt arrived yet!

this is similar to dave lettermans Top ten list, but seeing as we have a seven year model run, we need alot more than ten.

maybe when we get to 101 we can take the best 10 answers and put them in order. i also think we will be more clearly enlightened as to the non emergence of the gen 7 as a result...

so i'll start the ball rolling....

(if possible can you put the next number beside your idea so we can keep track.)

1. Honda spent too much money in F1 for no result...
lets see, $300 millon to run the team for 2 years to collect 20 world championship points and NO podiums.... and they were out performed by Torro rosso this year who ran at a fraction of the budget. No wonder they bailed out of F1...meanwhile...the new VFR waits.....


2. in the same model year run the fireblade has been reinvented 3 times ...meanwhile...the new VFR waits.....


3. spent money making wierd concept type bikes for which there is a limited market...Hello DN01

4.spent oodles of cash on Moto GP trying to wrestle the title away from Rossi & Yamaha...

5. Honda is still waiting for it's bailout money from the US Government.

 

6. People tired of waiting for the new one will buy the leftovers still on the showroom floor. More profit, less investment.

 

7. After unveiling of the DN-01, Honda's entire enginering staff put on new special project developing instrumentation necessary to measure rpm of Sochiro in his grave.

30. The 6th gen is such a slow seller the corporate bean-counters can't decide if they even need to make a new VFR. I mean they did kill the 919 (for this country anyway) I'm sure there will be a new VFR, likely for Europe.

^ unfortunately there's probably a lot of truth to what Ron is saying there.
It still doesn't make sense when one takes a look at what KTM is doing.. or for that matter any of the big 3 over in Europe Ducati, Aprilia, KTM
