I took a 100+ mile hike today on my 06 and all was good . The temp was 80today and I took the farm route. The first 3/4 of the ride was through Virginia farm country and with it being spring here it was really nice. The issue came on the last1/4 of the trip, the traffic was horrible. I need a seat.....IEEEEEOUCH!!!! Other than butt ache the ride was great! Even when faced with a ton of traffic the bike was fine. The engine temp stuck around 219 with the fan going and after the traffic the ride finished up fine.

I can see the trips going longer as the weather stays nice.

    Cheers.

Thinking the same thing after my ride today............I've got to get me a better seat. Looking at getting a Sargent seat sometime in the future.

Try hanging a cheek off around turns. That way blood can flow and you can turn faster. Or stand up on the pegs every now and then. I don't like pulling the bike out of the garage for a ride shorter than a tank of gas. Stretching and warming up before you go helps too.

Get a Sargent seat. 400-plus miles daily for 4 days in a row won't faze you. It was fine for me and I bet I'm older than all of youse.

Try eating more of the jelly-filled and/or custard-filled donuts. If you do it right, they provide ample cushioning on your back side and a nice tankpad on the front. Wash them down with Bud-heavy and you'll grow your own new seat. :thumb:
