Ummm seems like the same old hype to me...been talking about a V5 for years and, honestly that picture doesn't look like much of a change from the currentl 6th gen...not a radical upgrade at all. Personally, I like the look of the current 6th gen much better:biggrin:

I wonder the same things. Isn't that the rag that writes something similar every year?

I wonder if Honda will give us a decent trade-in price on our old VFR's...

"Unparalleled electronics, braking, engine and chassis technologies" sounds a bit scary. I would settle for a reliable charging system and no recalls.

I took home a brand new 07 RWB VFR today so I don't care what they do for the next model. I intend to keep the new one with my '86 and wait out whatever is coming next. It seems the best thing they could do for the bike is drop a hundred pounds off it, and make one cost less too. A joint line up of a 750 and a 1000 model, both being around 400lbs would revitilize the line. Imagine a stripped down 750 weighing about the same as a SV650 and only costing a bit more.

Does not look very sport touring though. Atleast not the seat. I think I would rather own the CBR1000RR and keep the 800. Not combine both.

I know as VFR riders we've heard the rumors every year but this year the rumors seem to be in overdrive, we can only hope

I'd bet the back-half of the red one is a photoshopped Yamaha FZ1, not the SSS of course.

I'll believe it when I see it, I still think Honda will be dropping the VFR for the US altogether.

We can only hope. If it looks different enough from the 6 gen VFR and still keeps it's good looks and , it makes at least 140 hp and they can make it come in at least under 500 lbs, I might plunk down the cash.

They could have at least photo-shopped out the vertical section of the now unused under tail exhaust.

It maybe a small niche market in North America but not in the rest of the world.

I don’t get this whole 5 cylinder thing any ways, a lot of people have tried this all ready, I think They are used in Audi, VWs, Volvos and on some diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz models, as well as on the Acura Vigor. Recently, General Motors launched a straight-5 engine for its popular compact trucks which is a derivative of the inline 5 cylinder engine used in top of the range Fiat models, .but I have never saw any benefit of this and they all needed to have a turbo and ran ruff. Here’s one for you why not a V6 now that sounds hot by its self more insync, and if it was ture why would Honda keep everyone in the dark even its dealers what kind of sale catch is that ?
and wernt all of the five cylinder engines inline ? when you build engines for RPM's and HP it just dose not make since to build a V5 ? and the bike in the picture looks like a CBR
