You are right! I bent a key, but luckily it was a copy that I had made from the original. I used to run a 50 bus fleet and what worked for me was to use copies in the real world and keep the OG keys in the drawer.

That guy Ari Geller used to bend keys and he didn't have a bike or a Harley.

Ari is Yuri's twin brother. He bent combination locks and was not nearly so popular. ;)

Some of that sticky might be from the ethanol fraction. Ethanol is hygroscopic. The gasket material may not be stable in the presence of water and gets sticky. Just guessing.. Damn..A skosh of WD-40 or one of the silicone sprays (USA measure) on yer fingertip and a quick wipe around the seal ought to fix it.

Well at least the OP didn't ask about tires, oil , texting at the ton or if norkleboy is gay.

    Cheers..

Rrrrgh my cap stuck on my '09. Took all the bolts off the ring & see only 3 actually hold it down. Anyways i sprayed it down with teflon chain saver, works fine now. As previously said, always push down when turning the key.

...and if a key does get bent, those Geller boys have a sister who does that sort of thing.
