I bought my 01 Interceptor about 2 months ago. I like it more than what I thought I would. I figured I'd ride a for a year, then sell it and try something different. But now I don't know.

The headers: Especially the front one looks bad. It's dis colored badly with spots of rust. After I get done riding it. I spray the exhaust system with John Deere All Purpose Lubricant. That looks ok until, obviously I ride it, and it all burns off. What do you guys recommend? $250 to have it Jet Hot coated. Paint it myself, and keep after it with te spray lube? Look the other way?

Air Temp: Reads aprox 10 degrees F, too high. Is that info fed into the ECU? The bike runs very strong. But still, it'd be nice to have it working. Where is the sensor? How much trouble?

    Look the other way.

Ride that bad boy until the rust eats through the pipes and then replace with Delkevic stainless headers PR2237, at least that's my current plan. Those crap OEM ones are mild steel, not worth saving.
