Useless, like crotchless chaps. What's the fascination with seeing the clutch basket turning anyway ?? :uncomfortableness: Spend your money on...
tHE diameter seems too large but it probably hooks up to the radiator overflow tank.
:welcome:
not the clutch. try rolling the bike back and forth a few times tapping the pedal down and squeezing the clutch lever.
Spending $1200 for cams on a bike that wouldn't sell for much over $1500 doesn't seem sensible. That lobe doesn't look so bad.
I agree with Jeff that the rubber-damped OEM front sprocket is worth the extra $$ cuz it's quieter, with less vibration.
i'd think the expected voltage at idle would be between 6-8 AC volts. Test only between yellow wire pairs, not to ground.
In Texas i'd guess u were running a 20W-40 oil, right ?? i hope that while you were on the hill the oil didn't fall below the oil pick up due to...

So the wire went all the way through as illustrated above ??
You can (and should) check the charging system output (at about 5000 rpms) across the battery terminals, where anything between about 13.5 to 14.5...
