judging by the synch gauges, i think you might have lost a synch spring on the throttle linkages. also, i think you're going the wrong direction...

it may be time to pull the carbs off and do a traditional, old-fashioned eyeball synch referencing throttle plates and the first progression hole.

not necessarily a bad r/r, but if the melted wires touch it will kill the stator.
after draining float bowls you can try blowing some air into the main fuel line feeding carbs, just might dislodge some debris on float needle or...
watch out for starting fluid as it can destroy slide diaphragms and has other ill effects.

the idle ADjustymentt screw is normally set to that it's just barely starting to move the contact point.
