When I installed my Steble horn, I used that plumbers tape (aluminum) wrapped it around the top left side fairing stay and zip tied it a few...
No..just remove the Allen screw get a rag and vice grips..wiggle till it comes out..replace with bigger screw supplied. Had mine out for q good...

Very simple install.....The directions are useless except for the pictures...I put the whole system together and then slid it right on ...no muss...
