400 vfr? where you at? not here in that states i take it, thou those 400s are the sheits in the RVFR model. Couldn't hurt to go try one on for size.
can't go wrong with any year model, gets down to personal likes and dislikes thou the 94-97 is more sportier than the 5th gen and so on to the 6th...
