The correct spring for your weight. Race Tech or Sonic. Stay away from "progressive" springs in my opinion. Plus you can't upgrade to Emulators...
Lot #24 (Sale Order: 24 of 135) Sold for: $400.00 to v****a This auction is in progress! ENTER LIVE AUCTION kind of ambiguous
Whatever engine has the best looking cams, I wouldn't touch a goddamn thing. I would preassemble to a point where it can be started with exhaust...
The frames and engines are mix-n-match. My race bike was 86/86. After floating a valve, an 84 engine bolted right in exactly the same. I know...
An original M/C better not be a deciding factor. They are not rare. A dent in the tank is better than rusted seams. An 86 engine bolts right...
Brother-in-law sent me this. https://www.proxibid.com/1986-Honda-VF500F-Interceptor/lotInformation/58498521 Some good looking parts and perhaps...
After looking at some photos, I think the Hawk GT bars are actually taller than the VF1000F bars. Not sure how well the cables and wires can...
Later (as in '86) have improved manufacturing (line bored heads) and a larger oil sump. The 84 / 85 will make more power (larger valves)......
Are his bars stock or lower aftermarket? The Hawk GT (NT650) 41mm bars are pretty high too, but I think they are about the same as stock VF1000F

Welcome! Nice, clean example. Sweet.
[ATTACH] Though you'll never forget these are big, heavy bikes, with the suspension properly updated they "lose" quite a bit of weight once...
^^^^^ Seriously consider this option. No real need to learn this skill, as you will likely never have to do it again. He does very good work...
From your response, it sounds like the best thing to do is: Pull the carbs (as a unit, do not remove the plenum). Package nicely. Send out to...
Sorry, but time to pull the carbs as an assembly. Replace the fuel cross over tube o-rings and you might as well do the float bowl o-rings as...
Nice job on the old Honda and Sweet FJ. The lines always reminded me of a large VF500F. Similar philosophies, I like to make my builds look...
That 5" wheel should be no prob then, depending how the cush drive interacts with everything. I really would have preferred a 5", but I didn't...
What width is the rear? 5.5" is doable with a 170/60-17 without running off-set sprockets. But it is close. My final spacers which I managed to...
