Your in luck, they are all the same from gen 1 to gen 6 700-800. 500's and 1000's may be the same as well but I am not sure aboot them.

Clearly mark the chain to the sprockets, it makes going back together much easier.

You gotta pull the engine to get the shaft oot, the frame is directly in the way.
It is part of the the ignition switch and is not serviced on it's own. Are the mounting points damaged?

Yes it will fit. You should inspect all of them as well as the cam shafts.
