I chronically search frantically for my key for extended periods of time just to realize it is in my hand.
I have not had a lot of luck with carbs that have had the throttle shafts seized. I would recommend findkng a set that are functional and cleaning...

You need to verify the problem first, guessing works once in a while but best to know that lack of spark is the issue.
Gotta go with the basics, do you have spark? Do you have fuel in the carbs?
