It is the charcoal canister for the evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, all is normal with the open connection.
I wonder how many days until R3? If only we had a member that could keep track of such things........possibly an Asian as I here they are good at...

Sounds aboot right for a tire that is soft enough to be fun and safe. You could try the Chen Sing Granite series if you want long lasting tires.
