I used the rag so it wouldnt spin while i removed the bolts

Do you think too much oil would cause it to not turn over at all?
I wedged a rag in-between the gears to keep it from spinning could that have bent or broken anything?
I checked and everything is in place, its really hard to turn over with a ratchet. If jump the bike it turns over once and really struggles.
So i replaced my old starter clutch with a new one and after i put everything back together and put new oil in i went to start it and it wouldn't...
