you wold have to look at how it was cut... what sort of damage was incured atfer the fall over...sometimes shit happens.... way to getting it...
you can jump the fuel pump so that you have constant power....
check your fuses.... if it sputters to life there is no tip switch.... you may have a stuck float....
don't need pictures... just carefully bend the bracket up a bit and the lever will lock. I had the same problem and when I was at TOE's place...
go with the 86 and fairings are available ...look into the gen 2 section here, there is a list of where to get them, they are unfinished...
