if you jumped the wires and fan did not come on the like masonv45 said check the fuse. if the fuse is good then fan is bad replace it.. check E -...

when was the last time the carb's were cleaned ??? might try first running some seafoam through a tank of gas see if that help's . if not time...
yeah just connecting them together. don't ground it out. best place to start is E- Bay , then check some of the online honda dealers....
