I don't know if you saw above, but mine was the block on the starter solenoid was a little burnt! Just cleaned those up and the bike charges good...

Still gotta cut down those wires and put all new clean/tight connections on there!
cleaned it up and now I get almost 14V at the batt. with RPMs!

no connecter, wired straight to the R/R I am testing the wires disconnected from the R/R
my meter is set to AC volts? measure the batt. on this setting it says 13V AC! go to the stator wires and it goes negative and millivolts DC?
okay, I just went out and got her nice and hot! the three stator wires are measuring -180mV!! they jump around but it is roughly -180. Negative...

I did find some suspect wires at the battery/fuse block? The two big red wires look like they have been a little hot!

Yeah thanks guys The installed voltmeter is always lower than my good multimeter I still believe it does charge at least a little when cool
the battery is good on a bench test and fully charged by itself it is 13.5V in the bike, the voltmeter on the bike says 12.7V turn the key 12.2,...
