Have had broken ribs without the puncture, and that was no fun at all. Take time to heal, your bike will be waiting for the first ride after recovery!

For sure with a manual transmission car, I do park it in gear. Either first or reverse, depending. Parking brake always applied, even on level...
Always a fan of the color schemes from those years.....
