I second those recommendations! My base camp was Montrose.
Sometimes the PC's just need a disconnect and reboot... you may have an intermittent power supply to it, so I'd refresh that and the ground.
Is that just surface corrosion in the port from a moist environment? Is there corrosion on the valve stem that might cause the stems to stick......
Should also be in the Owner's Manual..... check that starter relay connector.....
Perhaps when cold, move the starter valve lever manually... if it speeds up, and you like it, you'll be turning that nut.... rules can be broken...

I'd also check all the fuses. Normally fuel pump does not run if... fuses related to FI are blown/bad contact, sidestand down in gear or kill...

I would test the stator before soldering that all up..... just in case. Mine is burned up pretty good too but the stator is still good.... mofset...
Spec. is .012 +/- .001, so perfect.
What clearances did you find? Did you rotate the engine and check more than once? Was the feeler free to move in/out/around or snug?
They never get looser, only tighter.
