3 things come to mind 1 Sticking cables (lube them) 2 leak at carb insulator boots. (spray WD 40 or starter fluid around see if idle changes)...

It is all in the lines and how much oil they allow to get to the head.
It is all about the amount of oil it diverts to the top end. The Dave Dodge oil mod has metered lines to make sure the bottom end does not...
