now you know you have a ground issue, check main ground from battery to frame
stay on dc setting, neg to frame ground, pos to each fuse

measure to frame ground on all fuses. this will show a ground issue if any are low or 0 volts
what he said ^^^^^ is incorrect as you state the bike will run. measure voltage at fuses with key on
measure battery voltage at idle

pull the sending unit outta the tank and check its operation. up will measure 4-10 ohms, down will measure 90-100 ohms
