Like I said...it was the clutch switch...the sidestand had nothing to do with it...I remember cundalini talking about this in another thread.
you got nothing to lose by trying JB weld but i never found the stuff much useful for anything but fixing abs fairings and only sparingly

I see your point...funny you said clutch....I checked all the plates and spacers as well as the basket and it looked fine and...maybe the springs...
I tried this also and the clutch switch tested fine...continuity when engaged...I will check to see that the lever is doing the job and pressing...
