What is the charging issue? Are you checking electrical components hot or cold? Stator will get checked for continuity to ground, but also a/c...

They look similar to the carbon bits I have on one track bike.
Mine is not high, just regular on both 5th gens (other has a Staintune). I don't like the look or function of the high ones.
