Have to agree here. At 14 pounds and roughly 20x10, and that's probably perfectly packed(I'd never get it right), it seems like a pretty hefty lump.

Possible that chain/sprockets were just part of a change in gearing? Then again, there are people out there that can trash a chain in 9000 miles....
