There is a spec in the manual IIRC, something about the chain length over 20 links. That will be a better indicator of the chain stretch service...
There are pretty easy to install. They will all mount to the passenger foot peg bracket and some to another point on the chassis near the tip....
Check that tool kit for the "c-spanner" type tool. Adjusting the chain tension without it, would be a drag. Good Luck!
