Are you sure it is not an exhaust leak?? Sometimes the sound can be misleading
Patience- everything happens for a reason..there is another one out there...
I think my biggest concern is when the rear hub assembly fell off while I was riding and if that may have damaged something.

My 1990 Vfr appears that the clutch is not disengaging. I checked the slave -works fine- Removed clutch cover -checked clutch movement. ok...

I would have to agree with Toe, An outdrive on a boat will have the oil look the same once the seals have gone an water seeps in..
