The OP has stated he is getting 32mpg at highways speeds. Unless he is cruising at redline, that mileage is not normal.
Also, is the oil high because you added too much? Or was it at a normal level when you added it and now it's too high?
It's hard to diagnose this without tearing into the bike. The engine temperatures seem ok and even a stick thermostat doesn't dip fuel economy...
