    IDC what Honda or anyone says any motorcycle named the 'INTERCEPTOR' is not a damn touring bike. Its a sports/streets bike. Period.

    The term "HERO" sometimes gets used too often, but thank you for having the courage to say this. Finally somebody did, lack of context be damned.

    I will hug my wife when I get home, peak into the garage to give a wink, and then sleep very peacefully tonight.

    Yet "Interceptor" implies going very fast in a straight line. The F-104, F-106, Mig-25, and English Electric Lightning were all famous interceptors designed to take off, and zoom to altitude and fire a missile, but were not designed to turn and burn (dogfight). Wayne Rainey, Freddy Spencer, Fred Merkel, and Bubba Shobert proved that the VFR was indeed a dog fighter...turn and burn!
