Hi guys, I am restoring a 1989 VFR750 FK (Australian version) and am unable to locate the carby insulators (16211-ML7-891) which I want to replace. It is listed as a discontinued part everywhere I've seen. Does anyone have any thoughts as to alternatives/solution? Does anyone know if different carb insulators can be substituted?

    Cheers :)

Partzilla doesn't even list the 1989 VFR750, however, they have the insulators for a 1990. Do these look like yours?

They look similar, as do some other part no's, but I'm not sure if the diameters/other dimensions are the same

Hello mate, I think you will find that the inlet rubbers from an Honda VFR 750 FG or the VFR 700 USA version (part no.16211-ML7-000) will fit they have exactly the same dimensions.
Ive got a set of Fk carbs in my garage and the rubbers are exactly the same as my FG.

These are readily available try David Silver Spares or NRP Carbs both are based inn the Uk

As i've seen a few times, there are non-OEM mounts on the market now that don't have the "CARB" slot but seem to work OK.

Thanks guys, I'll check it out. I am following up a 'dead stock' lead in Queensland, but this will make it much easier :)
