Why does it have to be that connector? Just replace it with quality 2mm or 3mm bullet connectors. :)

They will protect the connection far better (less likely to oxidize as they can hold di-electric grease and have more contact surface) and they will function better as well.

Jim from Eastern Beaver has them:

Unfortunately he has a $20 minimum order, so I usually stock up on additional connectors & terminals whenever I order from him.
He has access to many of the connectors used on our bikes, including R/R & weatherproof connectors.

No affiliation, just a happy customer.

Thanks guys but I'm really after the female side of the connector.
I want to break into the circuit without hacking the Harness which will allow me to return to oe if/when I decide to sell the old girl (not the wife but a more likely situation) ;)

    Hey fella
Why don't you make up 3 "Flying Leads" to go between the Female and male plugs, i.e. 3 wires with a micro spade male on one end and a female on the other end so you can scotchlock into those instead of the harness. When you want to revert to standard, just remove the leads and plug the harness back together as normal.

    Good Luck

That's a decent idea. If I still can't find the female connector after tonight then that is a good way to go.

    Thank you

The Honda Common Service manual calls the connectors by letter, and I think they are calling this one "type B". (The diagram is not quite clear.) Outside of Honda references I found similar connectors designated for "motorcycles" designated such:

    3-position 110 connector
    type B 110 connector
    Sumitomo MTW series 110(2.8mm)

    Here are some online suppliers:

    http://www.cycleterminal.com/110-connectors.html
    http://www.corsa-technic.com/category.php?category_id=53

I see the Honda female end looks a little different from these. Unclear if you would have to replace both or if the generic one would connect right up.

I think these connectors are designated opposite of what you said, male/female, based on the pin male/female configuration, not on the nylon housing male/female configuration.

And drum role please ............ "BOLLOCKS!" They didn't fit.

The terminals on the bike are 6mm pitch (measured after I tried to fit the ones I bought). Lesson from this .... measure the f#$king pitch of the terminals before ordering!

SlideRule has put up a picture of what I'm looking for but I need the mating side too. Does anyone have any suggestions other than just connecting the terminals and filling the connector?

Wow. Thanks for being a guinea pig. How utterly ridiculous as well as disappointing.
