Still doing research on this product. I have a 2016 Chevy Colorado that can tow 7,000 LBS. Tongue weight shouldn't be a problem.
Any one ever use one to transport their VFR?
I've got an 04 in that color but my wheels are silver. Congratulation i'm sue you will like it.
There is a product called GRIP PUPPIES that might help. They just slip over your existing grips, don't cost much and are easily removable.

I have an 2004 and the VTEC to me is not an issue. But as previously stated ride it first.

I just put a PUIG on my 2004 VFR. I had to play around with it but finally got it on. I'm 5'7" tall and for me it works great.

If I were you I would go with the SV650. If you drop it not too much will get dinged, It's a lot lighter than the VFR, has plenty of power, easy...
Hopefully the owner means valve adjustment and not valve job. If he does mean valve job, keep looking.
