    Speedo shows 25 mph after ignition is switched on.

    Unfortunately, the speed sensor it was not. Disconnected it and it still shows 25 mph at the start. My mechanic thinks it might be the speedo...

    Thanks very much. That sounds like a good start. Might take it to my garage to see what error code shows up.
