Clean and oiled chain, did a oil change, put on solo seat cowl that I was able to find in town.... was a beautiful day and went for a ride.

New bike for me... about 1 hour of riding and stuck in traffic it will show 3/4th of the way up on the Gage of temp... is this normal?
Interesting in seat cowl...
My bike has 47xxx miles on it. Is this ok? Haven't really gotten to ride it yet but picked it up for a decent price.
