Put some dialectic grease in the connector and ride the thing. The plastic is for looks, not weatherproofing. The bike is designed to get wet.

my only concern is that the fairings direct air through the radiators on the side of the bike and without them they may get heatsoaked.

Has someone experienced riding the bike with no issues with wet connectors ?

I Guess low resistance of wet connectors Causes current to flow in the circuits (short circuit).

( Impedance/resistance of tap water is almost 0 Ohm
Distilled water is less than 25 Ohm
Rain in a city polluted contaminated air... and other staff making ate water good conductor is in this range 0-25 Ohm.

Thanks, but this does not seem to be a good idea : https://youtu.be/yuKAmaIkA-U.

Although it will keep the water away, prevent short circuit of a wet terminal connectors.

    - With side cowl off riding temperatures are just perfect !!! ( around 65 mph (6 gear : around 5000 RPM) on a 30-32 deg celsius day temps are less than 90 dec celsius, on the evening its 84 deg celsius )
    - On side stand it couls down in 60 sec 104->94 degs... (before with another coolant and cowls on it took more than 2 minutes).

    So air flow seems O.K.

Use the dielectric grease to keep moisture out. Same principle as the video link you provided, grease around the mating plastic surfaces.

The VFR is prone to poor connections anyway. It's my belief that the fairings aren't going to make the difference one way or another.

But the right windscreen will get you to 175mph
