Looks a bit goofy strapped to the VFR seat, but the results are amazing. 12 hours of seat time yesterday and no squirming around trying to relieve numbness and pain. Usually after about 3 hours I start standing up on the pegs every 10 mins or so. For those not familiar with the Airhawk, features built in grundle cooling by way off mesh sides that allow air to pass through and underneath your posterior helping reduce swamp ass on those summer rides. The R version has a center channel of nothing designed to provide room for man parts, unlike the standard one. Also works as a really effective shock absorber, bumps in the road that might otherwise tweak the jewels and give you a bit of a tummy ache are effectively reduced.

Totally recommend trying one out before dropping coin on a Sargent seat or similar that may or may not work.

Can we get a pic please? Do you feel that it alters the riding position much?

Not at all, in fact the company says that if you need to adjust your mirrors you've over inflated it. It might feel a bit weird at first, you can feel the air move from chamber to chamber underneath you almost like sitting on a tiny water bed.

Basically fill it up, place it on the bike and crack the air valve until you sink down. Proper level is just above the stock seat, if you feel yourself sinking into the seat below you've let out too much air. The amount of air needed is actually very minimal. I'd say half inflated or less is ideal.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread, I'm about to order these. I was looking at the cruiser small and duals port sizes, but your still happy with your "r"? Does the bladder hanging off the sides of the seat (just a little in your pic) ever become an issue?
    Thanks!

it does hang out the sides a bit, but that hasn't been an issue. I used the R on a cross country ride recently, was a life saver. The point of the R is it has an empty channel down the center that leaves room for your "stuff". The other airhawk products do not. However if you are looking for a smaller profile seat pad with that channel, freedom air sells one. Their sport touring model. When my airhawk dies, I'll most likely order the freedom air one.

Thanks man! From the looking I just did I can't figure if I'll be able to get a freedom air sport for my trip tuesday. It does look ideal though. Thanks for the feedback though! I'm going to order the r from zilla and I'll have it by Tuesday shipped from their Philly location. Hope it keeps my bunns happy B^D

remember though, the less air the better when using these. half inflated or less. fill it up, sit on the pad and slowly crack the valve to bleed out air. sink down until your comfortable. You should just be up off the stock seat. you don't want to feel like your sitting on a pool raft.

Yeah I've heard a lot of people say they're very uncomfortable when over inflated. At hour 4 my "*Ischial Tuberosities" bones were going to climb out of my arse and run away.. this looks like a good system :) maybe even keep it cooler down there!
