Yosh Slip on for 99

    Hello all, just purchased my 1st VFR a 99 that came with a Yosh RS3 Slip on. It is not on the bike and I'm wondering if I'll need to remap the EFI when installing. Previous owner had run it without. Thanks in advance for any help, suggestions or ball bustin....

    I have a 98 and I have been told the 98 and 99 will adjust to it just fine. But I'm not sure of the 2000 and 01 since they have a different setup. I'm sure someone else will confirm for you though

    You can run it without remap. Remapping might make a little difference, but usually it's not that noticeable. The noise is what you'll really notice and then you'll think you are faster. ;)

    I have the Yoshi SS2R on my '99 and it was fine. I did put a PC on it but it really wasn't all that necessary. It did smooth out the off idle power delivery, but not a big deal either way. IMO of course.

    my 98 came with a yosh rs3 as well, runs fine
