So as I was leaving the gym tonight I see a nice orange FZ-09 has parked next to me. Its owner Rafael was very nice and started it up so we could do a quick exhaust comparo :DThe 2014 FZ-09's 847cc in-line triple has roughly 10 more hp and lb-ft of torque than the VFR800's 782cc V4 but IMO the V4 sounds much better - enjoy!

The FZ-09 has been out for some time and many have changed out their exhaust. The FZ-09 in the video is stock and your exhaust is not stock. An FZ-09 will sound better to you if you find one not stock. It will sound lower pitched and louder too like the exhaust on your VFR does.

I have a 2014 FZ-09 and a 1997 VFR750 and a 87 vfr400r. All bikes are stock exhaust. The FZ-09 sounds much higher pitched (more tinny some would say) than both of the VFRS. The FZ-09 and the VFR750 are close in loudness at freeway speed with the FZ-09 being a little louder. The VFR400 is louder than both as you need to keep the rpms up higher to get some power (fun).
