After weeks of working on other peoples bikes i decided to go back to a project for me with my '04 FZ1. This Moto-GP slip on was some thing I messed with before and now it's the second prototype. It has the baffles from the stock pipe from an '82 Kaw K305. I think I got the sound I'm going for. Looking for opinions on if I'm going the right direction. General looks, shape, size. Color: Flat black, gloss black, aluminum finish? Any input?

I have an 02 FZ1, would like to find the GP exhaust for it. They quit making them didn't they?

Color? Flat black grill paint. What I used on my Micron slip-on. The previous owner had put a blue can on it...couldn't stand it.

    You on FZ1OA?

Classy Silver / Black color scheme on your FZ1S, like the old ones better than the new Fizzers. Had a buddy with a blue '02 went like stink in a straight line.

    That's what I have. :)

I like the "skunk" scheme you have on your bike. Are you running a jet kit with this combination?

I plan is to take a wait and see on jetting until this and the Air Induction system elimination are done. I plan on a couple other small mods with out getting too silly with it. This is my daily rider 8 months out of the year. Kind of my do all bike. I don't wanna go too far to the sport or touning side untill I break down and get another bike.

My FZ is the "pack mule" in the bunch...the do it all bike for me too.

I'm not going too crazy with mine either, it's already fast enough. Prior to the FZ I had a ZRX, great bike...but, not as "scalable". Meaning, I can throw a taller windscreen on it...set it up for summer or winter riding with less effort.
I do miss the ZRX's low end and roll on ability. The FZ is happier in the higher rpms, I really don't start to see it doing anything until 5000. Fun bike nonetheless. :)
