Y2K trimmed fender

The fender was about the license plate height longer. I removed the plate light and remounted it just under the tail light. The two mounting bolts are red led that come on with the key. The lower led bar works as running and brake lights.

 

got any more pics, like say from underneath? I would love to see how this works.

Nice work. I made the same mod and it sure looked like the OEM fender was designed with this scheme in mind (there is a molded-in area on the fender the exact size of a license plate in that new location, AND there was a perfectly sized flat mounting spot right where the plate light needed to be repositioned). I think the USA DOT must have some reg about plate location or fender length and Honda added the extra four inches of fender to comply. plus that gonky original stamped steel plate mounting bracket...yuk.
