I want to replace my stock mirrors with something a little more....let's say....asthetically pleasing. I searched the forums and found some info on a mirror called Y2K. I have not been able to find out where to buy these and was wondering if anyone could direct me as to where to find them. Or, is there another type of mirror that eliminates the rubber covers?
    Thanks in advance.

    yes

They are standard VFR mirrors as fitted to the bike from 2000 onwards - hence the name Y2K..they bolt straight on. Note , however, that any mirrors fitted to the VTEC model will NOT fit, as they have a different spacing to the bolt, nor will those from CBR's etc.
Available from your friendly Honda dealer/ David Silver spares/ Ebay etc etc.

Are those mirrors wider than the older ones? I'm getting tired of looking at my arms.

you can get spacers from any parts unlimited distributor. im not sure who makes them...yet, but ill check tomorrow morning when I get into work and find out the prices. Btw, the Y2K mirrors are around $95 per side, so $200 for the pair from the dealer. Ill get all the definite prices tomorrow cuz im home now and I dont have access to the dealer site from here.

I put '00 mirrors on my old '98; much better looking and seemed to have more adjustability to boot. There are several companies that make the spacers to put the mirrors out another 1" or so.

Ok so I was wrong... Parts Unlimited doesnt have spacers. I guess I must have seen them on Ebay somewhere. Anyway the mirrors are $97.95 per side retail in our dealership. Part number for the left is 88120-MBG-D01 and 88110-MBG-D01 for the right.

Thanks to all for the information. I was kindly contacted by a fellow rider in British Columbia who had a set to sell. Looking forward to making a great bike look even better!
