So I rode to the local Honda shop this morning just to look around and the were having an open house. Around back I spot a dyno and say to myself, hmmm I wonder. So $20 and three pulls later here's what we got....

96.35 hp and 128 mph in 4th gear. Assuming 15% parasitic loss that comes to 110.8 at the crank.
    the bike: 2000 Interceptor - Yoshimura pipe - K & N - 12,299 miles
    the weather: a sunny 78 degress - 32% humidity

The dyno operator commented on the smoothness of the pulls and the power it had. He said he had nevered tested a VFR before. She sounded like she pulled smooth and even all the way up. They ran a fairly new R6 after mine, it reved kinda slowly then kicked in hard, he pulled 110 hp for those curious.

Those are the most realistic numbers I've ever seen posted on this site, for that I commend your honesty. The 110 hp for the r6 is very questionable......

They were giving away a free tire to the highest hp in each class. Cruiser, 600, and 1000 up. They put mine the 600 class. Unfortunately the R6 did pull 110hp at the rear wheel. I watched the run and looked at the print out. It didn't have a stock pipe and I didn't think to ask what else was done. Judging by "the crew" he was hanging with, I'd bet at least a power commander. I'll have to see if I can get my print out scanned somewhere.

Cool, Viffer. Sounds like you went to browse at just the right time.
Now, remember all you other color/other gen owners...This is a YELLOW VFR. So don't be thinking all of your bikes will be equal to that. Sorry.

I also have K&N and exhaust, and about the same mileage. So if his motor put our 110.8 crank, then I can easily assume mine would do the same, since we have the same make/model.

Made a slight error, senior moment I guess.....that R6 pulled 106 not 110. I had 10 on the brain cause the bastage bet me by 10. I was talking to a guy at the Honda shop, he still had the charts because they have to give out the tires to the winners.
