another close call with a forest rat that was debating a side swipe maneuver . came out of the brush running along the shoulder no where to maneuver or I would have been in oncoming traffic. Liberal application of the dual tone completely altered it's trajectory enough that I could get by.

We have similar problems out here but they are called kangaroos, you can never tell which way they are going to jump, had one last Tuesday come out in front of us but luckily it jumped back into the bush

Deer maybe but elk in rut or moose in love?

The dudes from OZ can handle those roos.. Not a clue aboot them.. We do have some Sasquatch sightings that might really be.....

Had those red/chrome Fiamms on a Nighthawk of yore, pretty good tone quality and scare factor. I had deer alerts on that bike too, I don't think they worked as one night in Morristown, I had the fortune of having my left knee punching some stupid bambee on the road. Stayed up, "me one, bambie zero." Got home and found deer hair in my soft saddle bags and a bent back turn signal.

Gota be careful at night up north, or move to South FL. :loco: Glad you made it oot ok...

Due to an idiot with closed windows and blasting stereo who pushed us off the road onto oncoming traffic, I also swaped the standard horn for a Nautilus Compact dual air horns.
One of the best value for money mods I've spent on.
No way anybody doesn't hear me now, including roos. You stil don't know which way they are going to jump though.

Roo will bring you down real fast and often you don't get a chance to see them it is just bang, even a wallabie will quickly bring you unstuck and then there is the slow moving wombat that is like running into a brick wall

I don't think any horn will stop the red belly black snake that slithered out of my fairing when I had just set off last week

I now know how quick I can stop and get off the bike , BLOODY QUICK even if the snake was only a small 3-4 footer

It just carried on dismounting the bike and disappeared into the Grass along the Road
