I thought the harness would fix the dash LCD problem and headlight/taillight problem but no . Bike is at. Honda dealer right now and still blows instrument fuse. Any other ideas before they wrap up hours and hours in labor? Thanks.

Obviously a short. The only option at this point is to use a multi-meter and go thru it checking continuity.

OK going out on a limb on this with a couple of thoughts...

    (1) I am not sure what the wiring harness recall entailed, but the thing that struck me is that it immediately reminded me of one of those rules of thumb you pick up over the years. The concept being that an electrical fault with just a single symptom is often a lot harder to resolve than one which affects multiple components - where a decent circuit diagram should reveal a common failure mode/point which in most cases will be the source of the problem.

Anyway the fact that so many circuits are out on your VFR, got me reviewing a 2007 vtec wiring diagram I pulled from the web a while back. Attached here.

NB after checking your previous posts I see you have an earlier vtec so the diagram may not be totally appropriate for your VFR so you will need to track down the equivalent diagram for your bike. However the key point being that all those circuits link back to the fuse box A fuses C, D, E & F - which in turn are all fed from a single wire from the ignition switch (= a potential common mode failure point). Its just a hunch, but I would think the ignition switch or wiring therefrom is a good place to start your search.

    (2) Please can you update your profile to include your VFR model/year - that way its a lot easier for others to contribute effectively.

Hope that helps - let us know how you get on.
