As im trying to use a 1990s VFR 750 on a go kart I simply bought a generic ignition switch meant for Honda. The switch has 3 wires coming out of it: Blue/orange and red/black wires to a connector, and a separate black wire to a bullet connector.

Im wondering what the black bullet connector is for.

The stock VFR ignition switch has Blue/orange, red/black, and red wires to a connector. So the only difference (it appears) is the red wire on the VFR vs the black wire on the generic. Should the two go together do you think?

No idea, complete guess, are you using the stock bike wiring loom, go kart doesn't need all the wires that a bike needs
