Ok, after using two generations of cardo scala G9 and G9x products- I totally give up. The retail on these sets (one for me, and one for the lady), along with some of the supporting headsets for my extra helmets, probably set me back over $1000.

Totally frustrated and disappointed in these things. Problems with pairing are relentless. Never succeeded in getting both phone and intercom to work correctly. Never succeeded in pairing more than one person at a time. Some people have had good luck with them, but I found them clunky and temperamental. VERY frustrated and I am going back to a wired intercom if I can find one. 90% of my usage is just me and the lady on my touring bike- so I dont need the features that this thing allegedly has....

Does anyone know of a good wired intercom that I can use which allows me to use my own earphones and just have us both plug in???

I have seen a "Wired" device that should work for you on EBay. I have no personal experience with the product though, but it is supposed to do what you have described.

    Good Luck

    Sorry to hear it. :(

If you're interested in selling one of those Cardo units, let me know your price.

You could try the Sena SMH10. The dual pack is less than $300, and it can be used with separate headphones if needed. I personally find the speakers that come with it to be some of the best out there. No pairing problems or phone issues.

I am calmer now... probably need to read the manuals again. Still frustrated that they are not "seamless" at this price point.

I bought a Sena 20S from Revzilla and I haven't had any issues with it. Everything pairs just fine. stream music/GPS/and comms between riders all at the same time. IMO it's Pretty awesome. You can get these as a single unit or a pair, check them out on http://revzilla.com. There are a lot of options that come with this unit, so getting used to all the features will take some time. cheers...
