So as some of you know I wiped out two weeks ago out on the catskills and have been away since. just wanted to bring everyone up to date.

So I wiped out, not to bad of a fall. Was on a full lean to the left hit the front brake without thinking before I did it and off I go.  Got some scrapes and broozes and my left hand was hurting a litle.

The guys got the bike back up (thanks for the help guys, would not be able to get the bike up on my own) rested a little called it a day. Road the bike back home (about 2 hour ride) and was lucky that it only started to over heat in front of the driveway.

So got home and of course wife was upset, but oh well it went better then I thought.

Following day went to the hospital, why not the same day you ask... thought it was just broozed and the swelling on my left hand would go down, so some xray's later i find out that I have two broken bones on my hand soft cast on and there you go.

Now the Bike... Called the insurance and had the guy come out for an appraisal, guys gives me an estimate of $4000.00 of damages and I thought damn it didn't look that bad.

Well anyway the bike is in the shop to get fixed and hopefully I'll get her back soon, the hand... well I took out the soft cast and it's well on its way be good for a vfr clutch by the time the bike is fixed.

So in the middle of all this excitment i had to get some certification for work and was away from the forum, but now with the cert passed I am back was just wishing I could get back on the saddle this quick but oh well I'll just have to wait.

Once again wanted to thank all you guys that helped out.

Hey hey dude! Glad to see you back on teh forums. If I'm not mistaken, and I think it was Echo and Gary (?) from this forum that also had mishaps the same weekend you did.

Good attitude though - ready to ride again!

I still can't believe you rode home that 2 hours with 2 broken bones in your hand. Ouch.

Glad to see you up and about, and congrats on passing your certification. Talk to you soon.

    Yikes. Hooray for insurance.
Heal fast, but follow the doctor's orders. You'll thank me later.

Hey man glad to hear that you are doing ok, you really didnt have more than $1200 in damage (yes speaking from crash experience). Unless that RWB fancy plastic is twice as much $$$ as the solid colors. I hope you get bike back soon Tuga. Now you know why I wear the Alpinestars racing boots because when I crashed in the Catskills I broke a bone in my foot that still hurts sometimes. The $200 to $300 that a decent pair costs is definitely worth it.

He broke his hand, not his foot Dino. Maybe that's why you shift gears so slow - you got your AStar boots on your hands?

I know that...I was there. I am just saying that protective gear, as expensive as it might seem is still cheaper than a night in the hospital or a broken bone. I was the one who broke a bone in my foot. I think the heat is getting to you  How was the bar-b-q?

Any day you survive a boo boo is a good day. Good to hear you are OK. ANd liek Drewl said, do as you are told. Or you may end up parking the bike more often that ride it. Actually, once given the OK by the doc, the clutching motion is probably good therapy for the hand. Sounds like a good reason to ride for me. I think your medical insurance should pay for that gas seeing as this is rehab.
