fill er up so your tank don't rust and add stabil. check the battery every month or so and charge if needed. you don't want the battery to drop too low and risk damage.

Of course up off the side stand onto the center stand. You don't say where you are from. I assume it freezes where you are. I would consider bringing the battery into the warm and keeping it charged. In any event, if a battery freezes, then it is screwed. And a fully charged battery will not freeze. A dead or low battery will.

I also assume you won't be riding through the winter. If you do ride, then do nothing other than normal maintainance. But watch the tire pressure closer.

If you store in a damp environment, do not cover with vinyl or plastic. This only traps the moisture beneath the cover and leads to rust and crud on the bike. A breathable fabric cover is in order. Better yet, don't cover if in the garage. Dust washes off.

Put a battery tender on it and just leave the battery in the bike. Fully charged will not freeze until -75 degrees F. See (link) Yuasa Batteries, Inc. for everything you need to know about batteries. Go to literature and find tech manual. Great info.

If it gets below -75 where you live.....move.
